Senior Systems Engineer – Regular Full‑Time

AV is looking for a highly talented Senior Systems Engineer to join our team. In this role you will apply expertise in mission/software assurance, system architecture, and interface design to ensure reliability, security, and quality of hardware/software systems, contribute to architectural decisions, and design robust interfaces across MDS platforms.

• Participate in hardware/software engineering activities including mission/software assurance, code reviews, static analysis, testing, and engineering reviews.
• Provide input to programs on software architectures that are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to software quality, security, and performance.
• Ensure hardware/software engineering, assurance processes meet industry standards and best practices.
• Assess objective evidence for hardware/software engineering and provide technical guidance.

• Master's degree in a STEM field.
• 12+ years of related professional experience.
• Active Secret clearance.
• Extensive experience in hardware/software engineering processes.
• Extensive experience in hardware/software assurance processes.
• Experience assessing objective evidence for hardware/software engineering.
• Professional communication and organizational skills.

• MDA experience.
• Knowledge of Agile Engineering Design.
• Knowledge of Digital Engineering Principles.
• Experience with the Missile Defense System (elements, products, and capabilities).
• Experience with ITAR.
