Our Team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2
BMC) Regional team, is constantly engineering, developing and integrating new capabilities for the U.S. Missile Defense System. protecting both the United States and its allies. This large, fast paced team, is composed of many small agile teams working together dynamic environment with a common mission to develop and deploy leading-edge missile defense technologies.
The C2
BMC-Regional Application Agile Release Train is seeking a Software Engineer that will thrive in a fast paced team environment in the design, development, and testing of the C2
BMC applications. Common responsibilities of a Software Engineer on the RA ART team include:
- Design and develop new Java applications;
Maintain existing Java applications - Support software testing and resolution of issues from multiple baselines

- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in software engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience software development of Java-based applications in a UNIX/Linux platform environment.
- Demonstrated experience developing software in a structured, process-based integrated team environment.
- Demonstrated experience utilizing configuration management tools in the development of software (e.g. Git/Gitlab/etc.).
- Understanding of standard system engineering design artifacts such as System requirements, Use Cases, and SysML diagrams.
- Security+ or equivalent certification may be required within 60 days of starting.
- Design and development of Java applications.
- Developing new capabilities into a legacy SW system.
- Development of complex mathematical algorithms from design documents.
- SW analysis against performance requirements.
- Resolving cyber/security issues identified by Fortify/Sonar Qube/etc.
- Maven or Gradle.
- Automated unit testing frameworks.
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work RemotelyOnsite Full-time:
The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
