Radar Modeling and Simulation Engineer

Job Description

CFD Research Corporation is adding a talented Modeling & Simulation Engineer to our current Radar team. This individual will support customer site work in Huntsville, AL. In this role, the Modeling and Simulation Engineer will design and develop software to aid in the development, verification and validation of threat models such as weapon systems, radar, etc.

• Design, develop, and maintain M&S and analytic tools.
• Develop and integrate software models into complex system-of-system simulation environments.
• Develop and utilize tools to support radar, missile, and weapon system performance analysis relating to: detection, target discrimination, tracking, guidance, intercept, electronic attack/protection.
• Advise hardware design engineers on machine characteristics that affect software systems.
• Analyze software program needs and assist in troubleshooting.

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum degree required is a Bachelor's in a STEM field or equivalent.
• Five (5) plus years experience performing software development in Windows and Linux environments using MATLAB, python and compiled languages such as C/C++, Java, and/or Fortran.
• The candidate should be familiar with the fundamentals of distributed version control for software development.
• The candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
• The candidate must have a current TS/SCI clearance with a DIA polygraph within the last 5 years

Location: This role is based in the Huntsville, AL area, and is 100% onsite at Customer's location.
