Job Summary
Principal Radar Software Engineer – Onsite, Huntsville, AL. U.S. citizen required with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Responsibilities- Support phases of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC): requirements, design, development (C/C++), test, validation, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional agile teams to define, design, and implement new features, ensuring system integration and scalability.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing code for performance and efficiency.
- Write and maintain documentation, including system architecture and design specifications.
- Participate in product reviews, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and best practices.
- Stay current with industry trends: modern programming, AI, Dev Sec Ops , and related technologies.
- Demonstrate leadership behaviors and serve in part‑time or full‑time leadership roles.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and at least 8 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with C++ on Linux/Unix platforms.
- Knowledge in radar software development areas (e.g., signal processing, DSP, RF systems, radar modeling, electronic attack/protection).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government interim Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Experience as Scrum Master or Product Owner.
- 3+ years of MATLAB development.
- Experience with MDA X‑Band radar design and radar signal processing simulations.
- High‑performance real‑time software development, parallel programming, and hardware acceleration (e.g., SIMD, CUDA/OpenCL).
- Performance analysis, profiling, and optimization of computationally intensive applications.
- Salary range: $107,500 – $204,500 USD.
