Embedded Software Engineer tosupportthedevelopment,integration,andtestingofembeddedcontrolsoftwareforadvanced

High Energy Laser (HEL) systems.

Thispositionwillprimarilysupportourdirectedenergyprograms,developingsoftwarethatinterfacesdirectlywithsensors,actuators,electronics,communications hardware,andcontrolsystems.

softwareandelectricalhardware
.Theidealcandidatehasastrongfoundationinembeddedprogrammingandenoughelectricalengineeringknowledgetotroubleshootrealsystemsusingschematics,oscilloscopes,logic analyzers,andotherlaboratoryequipment.

Thispositionisopentocandidatesrangingfromtalentednewgraduatestoexperiencedembeddedsoftwareengineers.

Responsibilitiesandtechnicalleadershipopportunitieswillscalewithexperience.

• Developembeddedsoftwareandfirmwarein
  
  RustorC/C++forreal-timecontrolsystems.
• Integratesoftwarewithsensors,actuators,motor controllers,communications interfaces,andotherhardware.
• Developandtestcommunicationsbetweenembeddeddevicesandhigher-levelcontrolsystems.
• Debug hardware/softwareinteractionsusinglaboratoryequipmentsuchasoscilloscopes,multimeters,andlogicanalyzers.
• Developautomatedunit,integration,and hardware-in-the-looptests.
• Participateinsystemintegration,laboratory testing,andfieldtesting.
• Workcloselywithsoftware,electrical,mechanical,optical,andcontrolsengineers.
• Developmaintainablesoftwareusing Git,code reviews,CI/CD,andautomatedtesting.
• Documentsoftwareinterfaces,designs,testproceduresandresults.
• Usemodern
  AI-assistedsoftwaredevelopment
  toolswhileindependentlyverifyinggeneratedcodeforcorrectness,safety,and maintainability.

• Bachelor'sdegreein
