Bel Research has an immediate opening for a Software Developer in Huntsville, AL.

Position Description:

As a Software Developer on the GMD Weapon System (GWS) Fire Control (GFC) Engagement Planner team, you will work in collaborative environment to understand, implement, and test existing and new capabilities and algorithms and may participate in code modernization and translating Ada code to C++. The algorithms and capabilities implemented by the Engagement Planner team are mathematics and physics based complex solutions that will be highly visible to the GWS customer, Missile Defense Agency (MDA).

You will also be expected to support reviews of requirements and test cases that are developed in support of the Engagement Planner team.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in STEM related field

Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in STEM related field, and 5 years of related experience, or a Master's degree with 3 years of related experience, or 0 years with a PhD not to exceed 10 years
• Experience with solving highly mathematical and physics based complex problems
• Experience analyzing and implementing optimization algorithms
• Recent and extensive Experience Developing Software in Ada or C++
• Willingness to become highly proficient with Ada software development
• Quick to learn and absorb new concepts and information
• Recent MATLAB and Python Experience
• Must have an Interim or Active Secret Clearance
• Must be able to support an in-person / closed-area work environment
