Software Design & Development:
Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software applications supporting aerospace and defense systems.
Software Engineering Lifecycle:
Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, architecture and design, implementation, integration, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with systems, software, hardware, integration, and test engineers to ensure seamless integration of software components and successful system performance.
Quality & Review:
Conduct software design reviews and peer code reviews. Provide constructive technical feedback while promoting coding standards, quality assurance, and best practices.
Testing & Validation:
Develop and execute unit, integration, and system tests. Utilize automated testing frameworks and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to validate software functionality and improve software quality.
Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution:
Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and performance issues.
Technical Documentation:
Prepare and maintain technical documentation supporting software design, development, testing, configuration management, and system integration.
Continuous Improvement:
Contribute to process improvements, software engineering best practices, and development standards that enhance product quality, efficiency, and maintainability. Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and software engineering practices
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Minimum of three (3) years of professional software development experience
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages, including: C++, Java, C#, Python, or other object-oriented programming languages
- Experience with software development methodologies and lifecycle
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience working with Linux Operating Systems
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Familiar with version control systems and CI/CD
- Experience with debugging and testing
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE) or other
- Modular Open Systems Architecture (MOSA) development
- Experience with UML Diagrams and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Experience with Agile software development
