Modeling And Simulation Software Engineer
Modeling and Simulation Software Engineer OASYS, INC., a Leading-Edge Government contractor in Huntsville Alabama, is seeking a Modeling and Simulation Software Engineer to support our Air Force customer. Job
Responsibilities Include:
Participate in the development, implementation, and refinement of 3-DoF and 6-DoF physics-based simulation models Participate in the modeling of vehicle trajectories, debris dispersion patterns, and dynamic system behavior Validate physics models against analytical results, test data, and performance requirements Perform end-to-end software lifecycle activities including requirements analysis, architecture, design, coding, integration, and test Produce technical documentation for models, algorithms, and software products Participate in model reviews, design reviews, and technical interchange meetings Support fielded simulation tools and assist with troubleshooting, updates, and enhancements
Minimum Requirements:
3-5 years with modeling and simulation software or physics based software experience Proficiency in C++, Python, Java or other object-oriented programming languages Practical experience with 3-DoF and 6-DoF modeling techniques Demonstrated experience modeling vehicle trajectories and debris patterns Knowledge of physics models Familiarity with Agile development practices, specifically Scrum Experience working on cross-discipline engineering teams Preferred
Skills:
Experience with Azure Dev Ops, Git, or other version control systems Background using simulation tools/frameworks (MATLAB, Simulink, STK, physics engines) Linux development experience (Red Hat, Ubuntu, etc.)
Experience with visualization tools or simulation analysis pipelines
Experience with real-time, hardware-in-the-loop, or mission-level simulation environments Certified Scrum Master (optional) Required
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or another STEM discipline. Equivalent experience may be substituted for a degree. Eligibility:
Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance; an active Secret Clearance is highly desirable.
