Torch Technologies, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Entry/Junior Level Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in C# and WPF, demonstrating extensive experience in building robust and scalable desktop applications. This role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions, with a focus on user interface development and data handling. Experience with utilizing National Instruments APIs to control and interact with test equipment, is highly desirable
As an Entry/Junior Level Software Engineer, your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:
Design, develop, test, and deploy software applications using C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, and Blazor.
Provide software updates, bug fixes, and new features with an emphasis on performance, maintainability, and current software development best practices.
Collaborate with product owners, Scrum masters, testers, and other engineers to define, prioritize, and deliver software features.
Analyze, document, and implement interfaces with commercial APIs to execute automated tests against hardware.
Design and develop user interfaces and data-handling functionality.
Manage and update assigned work items within an Agile software development process.
Contribute to configuration management and accurate tracking of assigned work items.
Required Qualifications:U.S. Citizenship.
Bachelor's degree or higher in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
0+ years of applicable software engineering experience.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
Strong proficiency in C# and .NET Core.
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with C# and WPF, particularly in developing desktop applications.
