Driver
Under direction, drives the Madison County van to provide public transportation for community citizens. This position is strictly part-time with a maximum of 29 hours weekly. Must be willing to work fewer hours per week as needed.
No benefits are offered to part-time employees.

Education and Experience- Must be a high school graduate or equivalent, with experience in the operation of a van or similar vehicle.
- Knowledge of Madison County and surrounding areas.
- Knowledge of requirements and standards related to the safe and efficient operation of commercial vehicles.
- Skill in the operation of commercial passenger vans.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local traffic laws and regulations governing the operation of a commercial passenger vehicle.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance on small commercial vehicles and to identify vehicle problems and malfunctions.
- Knowledge of basic first-aid and/or CPR techniques.
- Ability to coordinate passenger schedules.
- Ability to interact effectively by telephone and in-person with a wide variety of people and to effectively use maps and follow directions.
- Ability to maintain records.
- Must have the ability to read, write and speak the English language.
- Basic computer knowledge is helpful.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and the ability to push or pull a minimum of 200 pounds.
- Must be able to see and hear well enough to effectively perform the job.
- Must take and successfully complete a drug screen and physical.
- Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a driving record that is acceptable to the Madison County insurance carrier.
