The Department of Communication Studies invites applications for a tenure‑track Assistant Professor position, beginning Fall 2026. The position involves teaching undergraduate and graduate courses and contributing to core offerings in the major.
We seek an empirically grounded communication scholar whose research and teaching complement departmental strengths. Preferred areas of interest include, but are not limited to, interpersonal, organizational, instructional, applied, and family communication. Scholars employing quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods are encouraged to apply.
Teaching versatility is expected at the undergraduate and graduate level. Candidates should be ready to teach graduate courses such as communication theory, research methods, advanced interpersonal communication, strategic organizational communication, instructional communication, pedagogy of public speaking, advanced family communication, or intercultural communication.
The standard teaching load is three courses per semester, including graduate instruction.
