Nature & Purpose Of PositionSelf‑motivated undergraduate student needed to assist professional staff in Title IX & Student Discrimination Resolution.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Assistance to Full‑Time Staff:
Perform tasks such as making copies, handling mail, filing documents, creating documents, and data entry. - Answer Phones:
Respond to incoming calls, direct calls to appropriate staff, and take messages as needed. - Front Desk:
Welcome and assist visitors, providing information and directing them to the appropriate person or department. - Manage Shared Email:
Monitor and manage a shared email account, remove holds from student accounts, and assign training as necessary. - Supply Inventory:
Track and manage office supplies, ensuring that inventory is maintained. - Tabling:
Assist with setting up and managing informational tables at events. - Social Media:
Help manage and create content for the department’s social media accounts.
The ideal applicant is friendly, shows initiative, can multi‑task, works independently, and is able to interact professionally with students, faculty, staff and guests. Must maintain confidentiality of all records and databases associated with assigned area. Must be able to work flexible hours Monday – Friday between 8 AM – 5 PM.
Qualifications (Knowledge/Skills/Abilities)Other Requirements for the Position:
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Work well independently and within a group
- Must have high level of interpersonal skills and tact to handle confidential situations and sensitive information
- Self‑starter with an outstanding work ethic
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Possess basic computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe & Canva
- Ability to move across campus for mail runs and tabling events
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and push/pull supplies as needed
