This student position in the Office of Student & Family Experience plays a key role in supporting the university’s efforts to engage parents, families, and supporters of Bearkat students. This position will maintain an active and welcoming online presence, assist with recruitment and outreach during high-traffic university events, and serve as a resource to families navigating their students’ college experience.

• Design departmental marketing pieces in compliance with the university’s branding guidelines.
• Monitor and respond to messages and inquiries from parents and supporters on the SHSU engagement platform and via email.
• Share timely and accurate university updates, deadlines, and event information in the parent/family platform.
• Promote membership in the SHSU Parents’ Association through recruitment efforts at New Student Orientation sessions and major department events, including Bearkat Family Weekend.
• Assist with preparing and distributing promotional materials and welcome items for new families.
• Support the planning and logistics for parent- and family-related programming.

This position is ideal for students who enjoy meeting new people, have strong communication skills, and want to play a direct role in enhancing the student experience erience in Adobe InDesign preferred.
