This position seeks a student that is self-motivated, has a good attitude, and works well with others. The student will assist the College of Criminal Justice Conference Center Team and perform general office duties including, assisting with front office organization, set up and take down of events, and helping professional staff with projects. Training will be given on specific programs and equipment.

Perform other duties as assigned.

• Must be a Sam Houston State University student.
• Must be able to work 20 hours and follow an agreed schedule.
• Must be knowledgeable in basic computer and software skills including Windows 10, MS Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel), and Zoom.
• Must be able to take instruction and be willing to have open discussions on job tasks with the team.
• Must be willing to work on repetitive tasks when necessary.
• Must possess a willingness to learn new applications, new equipment, or new methods of performing tasks when applicable.

• Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 lbs. as moving furniture and room/event set-up is necessary.
• Experience in event set-up and take-down.
