Hiring Salary/Recruiting Range:Commensurate with education and experience.

General Requirements:Experience and knowledge of Kodaly philosophy and materials, Orff techniques and instruments, folk song analysis, solfege, Dalcorze concepts, and methods of other pedagogues in the field of elementary music.
Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties:Teach the course Studies in Music for Children and possibly other courses appropriate to the individual's background/experience and School of Music needs; work collaboratively with music education faculty in teaching of music education students and continue positive relationships with public school music education programs.
Educational Requirements for the Position (Faculty Positions Only):Master's degree required, Doctorate preferred.
Experience Required for the Position (Faculty Positions Only):All qualified applicants will be considered, but preference will be given to those with a successful record of teaching at the university, secondary, and elementary levels. Kodaly certification is also highly desirable.
