The successful candidate will teach 12 credit hours each semester (Fall/Spring) in the special education program. Courses will be taught in face-to-face, blended, and online delivery formats. The candidate will work to build positive relationships with students, staff, faculty, and other key stakeholders. Will participate fully in departmental, college and university meetings and committees.
Educational Requirements for the PositionTerminal degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or closely related field.
Experience Required for the PositionClinical experience providing behavior analytic services in educational, clinical, or community settings. Experience teaching applied behavior analysis courses at the university level. Preferred qualifications include prior experience preparing students for professional practice and credentialing as Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).
Other Requirements for the PositionThe applicant must hold credentials as a master’s-level or doctoral-level Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
Additional InformationThe Applied Behavior Analysis program, housed within the SHSU College of Education, offers undergraduate coursework and a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Applied Behavior Analysis. To accommodate student needs, the department offers courses on the main campus, at The Woods Center, and online.
