Position Details Duties Performed in the Usual Course of the Job

The College of Education is seeking applicants for part-time,lecturer-pool positions within the Educator Preparation Program (EPP ). Faculty members in these roles serve as vital liaisonsbetween the University and our partnering PK-12 school districts.

Embedded within school campuses, these positions facilitate the planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical fieldexperiences. As part of a collaborative team, faculty provide high-quality mentorship and instructional coaching designed toadvance the professional competence of teacher candidates.

Applicants will be considered for one of the following threeclinical experience pathways, depending on program needs and individual expertise:

  • University Supervisor: Supports teacher candidateswithin the traditional, single-semester clinical teachingpathway.
  • University Site Coordinator: Supports teacher candidatesparticipating in the yearlong clinical teaching pathway.
  • Enhanced Residency Coordinator: Supports residents through the intensive, yearlong enhanced residency pathway.
Educational Requirements for the Position

Requires a minimum of a Master’s degree in education or related field.

Experience Required for the Position

3 years teaching experience in K-12 setting required.

Current teacher certification required.

Texas Administrative certification (principal or superintendent) preferred.

Effective educator as evidenced by student learning.

Other Requirements for the Position

Travel to partnering school campuses is required. Candidates mustbe available to attend orientation sessions, T- TESS trainings and governance meetings. Strong communication skills and the ability todevelop and maintain professional stakeholder relationships. Apositive disposition toward technology use and a commitment tocollaborative, school-based initiatives. Conscientious regarding administrative and clinical deadlines.
