Nature & Purpose Of PositionThe primary purpose of Student Assistant – Foot Patrol is to provide visibility, security, and safety upon the campus and to advise the University Police of any information concerning activities taking place on the campus during the nighttime hours. Other duties include escorting students on main campus; reporting suspicious activity on campus; providing general directions to visitors; reporting of defective existing light fixtures;
ensuring academic buildings are secured; and other related assignments requested by the department. Work hours are 9PM-2AM. Foot patrol could be assigned to work any night of the week, including weekends.
