Multi-Position Opportunity

Accountant, Associate Accountant, or Administrative Assistant

Location:

Dakota land Financial Services – Huron, SD (in person)

Schedule:

Mon – Fri. | 8:00am – 5:00pm with extended hours and Saturday shifts required during the Tax Season (December – April)

Wage:
Wage depends on experience/education. EOE.

Available Career Opportunities

Administrative Assistant

  • Provide a welcoming environment for clients
  • Answer phones, schedule appointments, and assist with general inquiries
  • Organize files, scan documents, and manage mailings
  • Track and order office supplies
  • Support team with general administrative duties including but not limited to, electronic filing of returns, supporting the virtual storage system and client center, and managing workflow distribution
Accounting Associate
  • Maintain accounting records and financial data for clients
  • Process payroll and prepare payroll tax deposits and filings
  • Reconcile accounts and identify discrepancies
  • Enter journal entries and generate financial reports
  • Prepare sales tax returns and annual forms (1099s, 2290, etc.)
  • Assist with and prepare business and personal tax returns
  • Stay current on tax and accounting regulations
Accountant
  • Perform full‑cycle accounting, payroll, and financial reporting
  • Prepare business and personal tax returns
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements
Ideal Background
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong organization, communication, and customer service skills
  • Strong teamwork and initiative
Ideal Background
  • Associate degree in accounting OR equivalent experience
  • Experience in payroll, bookkeeping, and/or tax preparation
  • Proficiency in Quick Books (or similar) and Microsoft Office
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple client accounts
Ideal Background
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience
  • Experience in tax preparation, payroll, and bookkeeping
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office
Physical Requirements

The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to occasionally lift/transport up to 10 pounds at a time. Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time. Environment is primarily indoors.
