Loar Group (NYSE: LOAR) is seeking a Buyer for one of its operating units located in the mid-western US. Loar group specializes in acquiring and growing companies that design and manufacture highly engineered products for the global aerospace & defense market. To date Loar has acquired 20 niche aerospace & defense manufacturing businesses across the US and Europe.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starting, detail-oriented purchasing & supply chain professional with excellent communication skills who is motivated by the opportunity to join a growing business in a dynamic aerospace manufacturing environment. Industrial manufacturing experience in a highly regulated industry is highly preferred. This position is fulltime onsite.
The Buyer will:- Monitor and review open purchase orders, communicate open order reports, and proactively correspond with suppliers on delays or changes impacting status.
- Review specifications to ensure the most current revision is used for compliance with purchased material and update part master with pricing, lead time, and specification changes.
- Ensure and maintain accuracy and data integrity in the ERP system to establish systems and processes that enable and support overall Supply Chain strategy.
- Manage relationships with existing supply base to negotiate best pricing, price break options, and lead time.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, new leads and opportunities, and monitor any supply chain risks to ensure an effective purchasing strategy that supports short and long term company objectives.
- Support projects and cross-functional team improvements to processes and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Agile, able to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
- Associate’s degree in business administration, supply chain management or a related degree. Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred. In lieu of a degree, 4+ years of relevant experience will be considered.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems is highly preferred.
- Experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
