- On-site field crew leader and company representative, who works on the job site daily.
- Ensures the timely and productive completion of the project per instructions by our Project Coordinator.
- Willing to travel as needed as some jobs will require overnight stays.
- Prefer 4 or more years of experience.
Ensures Sands Wall Systems project goals and commitments are met by providing onsite management, quality control and coordination of all labor, materials, equipment, safety, and security for drywall installation at Sands Wall Systems jobsites.
Essential Functions- Read blueprints or other specifications to analyze scope and details of the project to determine methods of installation, work procedures, and material and tool requirements.
- Represents the company at bid conferences, pre-construction, safety, or job progress meetings and other functions outside the company.
- Measure and order materials for job and set preliminary delivery schedules in cooperation with the General Superintendent and assigned PM.
- Measure and mark surfaces to lay out work for hangers, according to blueprints or drawings, using tape measures, straightedges or squares, and marking devices.
- With the assigned PM and General Superintendent, establish a job schedule and a dependable working relationship.
- Schedules hanging subcontractors in coordination with other trades, goes over instructions with the subcontractor’s supervisor and meets hangers at the job to get them started.
- Provides field employees and subcontractor employees with technical advice and to resolve problems.
- Inspects work quality and production by inspecting work throughout the job and facilitating immediate correction of any deficiencies. Reports issues to assigned PM of project. Does a final inspection at the end of the job for quality workmanship.
- Maintains jobsite documentation by tracking subcontractor performance daily, tracking work accomplished, documenting and compiling all information regarding change orders and modifications from the original plan, and maintaining records of costs and events leading to subcontractor back-orders.
- Reports to assigned PM on any problems relating to the general contractor, architect, subcontractors, employees, or material suppliers and assist in resolving the issue. Reports any change requests, subcontractor/supplier delays, inspectors’ demands, etc. to the PM.
- Prepares progress reports for each assigned job for weekly status meeting for management.
- Travels to out-of-town jobsites to deliver material and equipment and to inspect progress on the job.
- Assists with loading and delivery of material and equipment to and from job sites.
- Oversees location and distribution of both rented and company owned tools and equipment needed on job sites.
- Follows safety program by ensuring Sands Wall Systems staff and subcontractors comply with applicable OSHA guidelines and Sands Wall Systems safety policies and procedures by monitoring jobsite conditions and practices. Reports issues to President.
- Follows all Owner or General Contractor’s job specific rules.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have basic computer skills using Microsoft Office.
- Must have basic math skills.
- Must have valid driver’s license with good driving record and able to operate a motor vehicle.
