Adjunct Faculty – Management
Kean University is seeking adjunct faculty in the field of management to teach at the main Union campus, Jersey City, or Kean Ocean Campus. Coursework will include the following:
- Principles of Management
- Business Statistics
- Human Resource Management
- Management Information Systems
- Operations Management
- Intro to Supply Chain Management
- Supply Chain Sourcing and Procurement
- Database Management and Data Mining
Adjunct faculty will prepare, deliver, and assess course material for the designated credit courses, provide at least one hour of office hours per week for each course teaching three or four credits, and an additional 30 minutes for each extra class. Faculty teaching fewer than three credits shall provide a minimum of 30 minutes of office hours each week. Availability may be conducted in person or virtually and is scheduled by the faculty member to meet student needs.
QualificationsAll adjunct positions are non‑tenure track and require:
- A master’s degree in a related field or an ABD, Ed.D., Ph.D., or another acceptable discipline doctorate.
- Teaching experience unless otherwise indicated.
- Proficiency with a Learning Management System in accordance with university guidelines.
- Effective September 2025: $2,100 per credit.
- Effective September 2026: $2,225 per credit.
- After teaching 13 semesters, an additional $75 per credit is awarded.
- Eligible for a state‑administered retirement plan and the Part‑Time State Health Benefits Program for medical and prescription coverage.
Faculty may be assigned to any of Kean’s New Jersey campus locations or affiliated work sites, including the main campus in Union, Kean Ocean in Toms River, Kean Skylands in Jefferson Township, Kean Jersey City, Kean at Brookdale in Middletown Township, Manahawkin, Princeton, or Trenton. Online instruction for Kean Global is also possible.
