Exercise Science (BS) – Adjunct FacultyTeach undergraduate courses in Introduction to Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Motor Learning, Prescriptive Exercise, Exercise Testing and Interpretation, Strength & Fitness, Personal Fitness, Statistics in Exercise Science, Biomechanics, and Kinesiology. Preferred certifications:
Certified Exercise Physiologist (EP‑C, ACSM) or Personal Trainer Certification (NCSF, ACSM, or NSCA).
Teach graduate-level courses in Nutrition for Fitness, Health & Athletic Performance, Advanced Exercise Physiology, and Advanced Neuromuscular Physiology. Preferred certifications:
Certified Exercise Physiologist (EP‑C, ACSM) or Personal Trainer Certification (NCSF, ACSM, or NSCA). Candidates with a Ph.D., Ed.D., or related doctoral degree strongly encouraged.
Teach Emergency Care & Safety Institute (ECSI) Emergency Medical Responder, ECSI Advanced First Aid, American Heart Association (AHA) and Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider, and Introduction to Principles of Emergency Management. Requirements: EMS professional certification, instructor credentials for AHA and BLS, experience teaching First Aid or Emergency Medical Services.
Yoga & Mindfulness – Adjunct FacultyTeach undergraduate courses in Yoga, Meditation, and Mindfulness:
Foundations of Yoga, Mindfulness & Wellbeing, Intro to Yoga, and Yoga Teaching Practicum. Preferred credentials:
National yoga certification (RYT‑200 or RYT‑500) from a Yoga Alliance‑recognized program and significant teaching experience. Strong foundation in yoga philosophy, trauma‑informed teaching, and experiential practices encouraged.
- All positions are non‑tenure track.
- Require a master’s degree in a related field; ABD, Ed.D., Ph.D., or other acceptable doctoral degrees encouraged.
- Doctoral degree in a health‑related field required to teach advanced level courses.
- Proficiency in a Learning Management System required.
- Office‑hour availability: for 3–4 credit classes, at least 1 hour per week outside of classroom; additional 30 minutes per additional class. For fewer than 3 credits, at least 30 minutes per week.
Pay, effective September 2025: $2,100 per credit. Effective September 2026: $2,225 per credit. Starting in 13th semester taught, adjuncts receive an additional $75 per credit.
