Adjunct Faculty – Philosophy and Religion
Teaching responsibilities include delivering in‑person courses in Philosophy and Religion at the Union campus. Possible courses:
Intro to Ethics, Critical Thinking, Theories of Punishment, Formal Logic, Philosophy of Law, Intro to Religions of the World, Western Religions.
Teaching one, three or four credit class requires at least one hour of availability outside the classroom per week. Availability of 30 minutes per additional class. Adjustments for fewer credits. Office hours may be scheduled flexibly.
Pay: $2,100 per credit effective September 2025, $2,225 per credit effective September 2026. After 13th semester taught, additional $75 per credit.

- Master’s degree in a related field (ABD, Ed.D., Ph.D. or other doctoral acceptable).
- Teaching experience required unless ABD or doctoral.
- Proficiency in a Learning Management System.
- Official transcripts required before appointment.
Position is non‑tenure track adjunct, paid per credit. Adjuncts may be assigned to teach online classes. Location assignments include Union and other NJ campuses. Employment requires working at a New Jersey campus location.
