Full-Time Hospital Pharmacist Position
Full-Time Hospital Pharmacist position in Huron, South Dakota. Responsible for ensuring safe medication use across hospital settings, collaborating with healthcare teams, and supporting patient care. Opportunity for experienced pharmacists and new graduates in a supportive, patient-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare, dispense, and review medications for accuracy and appropriateness
- Provide clinical support to healthcare providers regarding drug therapy and interactions
- Monitor patient medication regimens for therapeutic effectiveness and safety
- Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations
- Educate patients and staff on medication use and best practices
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and interdisciplinary care teams
- Maintain accurate documentation and inventory control of all pharmaceutical products
- Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution
- Current South Dakota Pharmacist License or eligibility to obtain before start date
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
