The listed pay range or pay rate reflects compensation for a
full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE)position. Actual compensation may differ depending on assigned hours and position status (e.g., part-time).

Position Overview
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Promotes the professional development of clinical staff. Assesses research learning needs. Functions as a role model for evidence-based practice and research.
- Assists in the identification and implementation of clinical research opportunities rdinates system-wide education on research activities.
- Assists colleagues in preparation of accurate abstracts and manuscripts. Provides communication channels for dissemination of research.
- Supports organizational shared governance structure.
- Chairs the Research and EBP Committee. Participates in shared governance meetings, as needed.
- Demonstrates effective teaching skills and uses a variety of instructional methods/teaching strategies. Disseminates effectively information about relevant learning offerings within and outside CH.
- Exercises discretion and judgement to promote clinical research as a strategic initiative of the nursing division. Identifies research priorities in conjunction with departmental leadership. Promotes the application of research activities toward evidence-based practice. Mentors colleagues in research activities.
- Participates in IRB activities both as a member and in preparing protocols for IRB review. Mentors in publishing and presenting findings from research studies timely and accurately.
- Demonstrates ability to analyze and interpret statistical data and mentors staff in statistical analyses.
- Acquires research grants to expand the clinical research program.
- Supports clinical graduate and doctoral level students in completion of projects. Serves as mentor to doctoral level students.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Education :
Masters degree. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. - Experience: Five years of acute care experience and two years of research experience. CITI training.
