Supervises warehousing activities for the Sales Center by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisor(s).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Implements operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of product and materials (includes outdated, damaged, and pilfered inventory).
- Loads and unloads material onto or off skids, pallets, or trucks with forklift and other lifting devices.
- Confers with warehouse manager and department heads, when appropriate, to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with activities of other functions such as production, sales, records control and purchasing.
- Inventories route truck haul-backs and reconciles with ending load sheet.
- Maintains warehouse inventory and floors in a clean and orderly condition.
- Empties trash containers.
- Secures building by locking doors, turning off lights, and activating alarm at the end of the night shift.
- Participates in planning personnel safety and plant protection activities.
- Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor at any time.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Interviewing, hiring, and training employees.
- Planning, assigning, and directing work.
- Appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining employees.
- Addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Supervises 2 to 4 subordinate employees.
- One to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certified forklift operator.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees.
- Ability to perform basic math and business math functions.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit and use hands to handle or feel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORKENVIRONMENT
Employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, explosives, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
