Welder-2nd shift

Job Description

Join our team at Terex for a 2nd Shift Welder at Huron, SD (Mon‑Thurs 5pm‑3:30am). The role involves operating welding equipment and supporting manufacturing activities while adhering to safety and quality standards.

• Adhere to Terex safety policies and procedures.
• Operate various welding machines on materials such as short arc, stick, and FCAW on X1050, T‑1, etc.
• Operate stationary and/or portable grinders and pneumatic chipping hammers to remove excess metal, oxidation, and foreign material from weldments and structures.
• Operate material handling equipment to move parts and materials as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints; work from drawings, sketches, templates, temporary stop gauging devices and patterns, and set up jigs and fixtures.
• Access computer terminals.
• Comply with Terex Utilities quality standards and meet zero‑defect requirements.
• Follow and promote The Terex Way values and compliance with all applicable occupational health and safety requirements.
• Perform other functions as needed.

• High school diploma and/or equivalent experience.
• 0‑2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs; 40‑100 lbs with assistance or lifting equipment provided.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to use most hand tools.
• Understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Recognize potential safety hazards and take appropriate actions.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, order acknowledgements, engineering drawings, and written instruction.
• Function as a team member and contribute to group goals while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Safe and efficient operation of welding equipment, forklifts, and overhead cranes.
• Atmospheric exposure to dust and vapors acceptable with required PPE.

Salary range: $23.41 to $28.64 per hour, plus 10% night differential.
