Monday-Thursday 8:00am‑4:00pm, Friday 5:00am‑1:00pm
Rate of Pay:
Starting Rate: $23.61/hour, 3‑Month Rate: $23.84/hour, 6‑Month Max Rate: $24.29/hour
The Forklift Order Picker is responsible for tracking, storing, picking, securing, and staging material/product in the staging area. This individual also loads material/product onto trucks for shipment to our customers.
Responsibilities- Obtain and maintain good standing Tru Vue Forklift Operation License (Class I and II).
- Maintain forklift in safe operational condition daily and report deficiencies to supervisor.
- Load and unload product from trucks.
- Use a mobile or desktop computer unit to accurately enter and locate products within our MRP system.
- Secure product to pallets by stretch wrapping or plastic banding.
- Transport product safely between racks and staging areas, noting quantities and ensuring correct product location for shipment.
- Practice good housekeeping in the work area.
- Perform cycle counts, 6S audits, order audits, and other inventory functions.
- Work with team members to ensure consistent company‑wide material programs are implemented and adhered to.
- Assemble crates and pack when necessary.
- Generate and document continuous improvement and waste elimination suggestions in the established manner.
- Learn, understand, and follow documented work procedures.
- Maintain high sensitivity to quality and on‑time delivery of products and services.
- Interact and function effectively in a team environment.
- Assist in development of work instructions, projects, and support other departments as needed.
- High school education or equivalency preferred.
- Three years of experience in manufacturing/warehouse/distribution environment required.
- Two to three years of forklift experience required.
- Computer knowledge required. Experience with inventory software (e.g., WMS, AS400, Dataflo) preferred.
- Ability to read English and basic math skills.
- Basic awareness of factory safety.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Attention to detail, flexibility with schedule, and readiness to work different shifts as needed.
- Batching operation where chemicals are blended; area is enclosed with exhaust.
- Paper/cardboard handled; dust/dirt from wrappings and products may be present.
- Ambient temperature varies (heat and cold).
- Manufacturing is a hearing conservation area; noise level 85–89.9dB.
- Lifting < 65lb occasionally (33% of the time).
- Frequent handling and positioning of objects weighing up to 150lb.
- Frequent standing; use of right foot to operate foot control.
- Visual acuity of 20/20–30, with or without correction; depth perception required.
- Climbing frequent on sit‑down truck; single step frequent on stand‑up truck.
- Fine manipulation and firm grasp required.
- Bending, stooping, crouching occasional (33%); reaching above shoulders intermediate.
