Welder, Weekend Shift

Responsibilities

Adhere to Terex safety policies and procedures.

• Operate various types of welding machines (short arc, stick, FCAW) on materials such as X1050, T‑1, etc.
• Operate stationary and/or portable grinders and pneumatic chipping hammers to remove excess metal, oxidation and foreign matter from weldments and structures.
• Operate material handling equipment to move parts and materials as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches, and templates; set up jigs and fixtures.
• Use computer terminals as required.
• Comply with Terex Utilities quality standards through error prevention and meeting zero‑defect requirements.
• Follow and promote The Terex Way Values.
• Comply with all applicable occupational health and safety requirements.
• Perform other functions as needed.

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• 0–2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and 40–100 lbs. with assistance or lifting equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Good mechanical aptitude and ability to use most hand tools.
• Understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Recognize potential safety hazards and take appropriate actions.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, order acknowledgements, engineering drawings, and written instructions.
• Function as a team member and contribute to group goals while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Safe and efficient operation of welding equipment, forklifts, and overhead cranes.
• Experience with atmospheric exposure to dust and vapors.
• Required personal protective equipment usage.

$22.84–$27.94 per hour, based on education, experience, and certifications.
