2nd Shift Welder

Location:

Huron, SD (Mon‑Thurs 5:00pm – 3:30am)

Job Summary:

Join our team as a skilled welder responsible for fabricating and repairing metal components while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

• Adhere to Terex safety policies and procedures.
• Operate various welding machines (short arc, stick, FCAW) on materials such as X1050, T‑1, etc.
• Use stationary and portable grinders, pneumatic chipping hammers, and other hand tools to remove excess metal, oxidation, and foreign matter.
• Operate material‑handling equipment to move parts and materials as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and templates; set up jigs, fixtures, and temporary stop‑gauging devices.
• Access computer terminals as required.
• Comply with Terex Utilities quality standards by preventing errors and achieving zero defects.
• Promote the Terex Way values and maintain a positive, team‑oriented work environment.
• Follow all applicable occupational health and safety regulations.
• Perform other related functions as necessary.

• Basic Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• 0‑2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Able to lift up to 40lb. and move 40‑100lb. with assistance or lifting equipment.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Good mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand tools.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, engineering drawings, and written instructions.
• Recognize safety hazards and take appropriate actions to minimize risk.
• Team‑player attitude with a focus on achieving group goals.
• Experience operating welding equipment, forklifts, and overhead cranes.
• Familiarity with dust and vapor exposure and required personal protective equipment.

The salary range for this position is $23.41 to $28.64 per hour, plus a 10% night differential.
