Registered Nurse - Allergy Clinic

Full Time, 40 hours

Shift: Monday - Friday, during clinic hours

Pay Range: $

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and state laws/practice act.
• Perform assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care.
• Document care according to standards of care.
• Develop, initiate, and execute a patient plan of care tailored to the patient’s individualized needs as prescribed by a physician and/or clinic policy.
• Use available resources to teach and support patient and family education and provide education at an appropriate level of understanding.
• Act to resolve system breakdowns and engage self and others in providing solutions.
• Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance.
• Utilize clinical expertise to guide other units/departments in support of the patient’s longitudinal plan of care.
• Apply critical thinking with regard to patient safety and experience and appropriately escalates to the appropriate chain of command.
• Participate in professional nursing continuum process, unit/department practice activities and decisions, and peer review process.
• Positively influence the professional and organizational environment and shared governance.
• Engage in personal development and support system-entity opportunities for continuous learning and growth, including developing or revising evidence-based practice guidelines.
• Actively participate in mentoring and precepting new partners to the organization.
• Offer ideas and/or solutions to practice issues and use innovative methods to develop and implement plans of care.
• Provide innovative ways to educate patients and families and initiate interdisciplinary collaboration to meet educational needs.
• Meet the workload indicator (WI) of 20 education hours and actively participate in at least one departmental or unit performance improvement activity.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• ADN required upon hire; BSN preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience required.

• Licensed as an RN in the state of practice.
• Approved CPR/BLS certification required within 3 months.
• Other certification(s) per department requirements (e.g., ACLS, PALS, PEARS, NRP).
