Distribution Center EH&S Specialist – Onsite (2nd Shift)

• Report to the EHS Manager and directly interact with all departments, regulatory agencies, and the Corporate EHS team.
• Provide daily EHS support of the Stanley Black & Decker Jackson Distribution Center and assistance to other sites as needed.
• Maintain an EHS management system that drives results in waste elimination, develops an accident‑free culture, and maintains 100% regulatory compliance.
• Help improve the EHS management system and maintain site EHS plans, including ISO certifications and the EHS Road Map.
• Provide guidance to makers and team members on regulatory compliance related to employee health and safety.
• Train on mandatory OSHA compliance, emergency response, new‑hire orientation, and site‑specific hazard awareness.
• Assist in implementing programs to improve workplace health, focus on ergonomics, safe behaviors, hazard identification.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal safety/health regulations.
• Assist in annual EHS audits and implement audit corrective actions.
• Maintain current environmental, safety, and security data on the EHS website.
• Maintain leading‑indicator initiatives such as near‑miss reporting, behavior‑based safety, and employee engagement activities.
• Investigate safety incidents and provide root cause analysis.
• Monitor emerging safety standards and best practices and help implement programs to address them.
• Maintain safety contingency programs for fire, spill, and other emergencies.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Health & Safety or Environmental Sciences preferred.
• 3‑5 years’ experience maintaining an EHS culture in a warehouse environment; knowledge of 29 CFR 1910 standards preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels within the organization.
• Analytical skills and ability to gather and interpret complex data sets.
• Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and EHS Data Management system preferred.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
• Physical demands: regular standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, using hands; lifting up to 10 lb regularly and up to 50 lb occasionally; occasional exposure to extreme temperatures.

The salary range for this position is $46,500.00 – $74,900.00, reflecting the lowest to highest annual full‑time salary. The offered salary may vary based on job level, location, experience, and compliance with local wage requirements. Salary is one component of total rewards; candidates may be eligible for annual merit increases.
