Job Overview
Prime responsibility is to sell Rentokil’s industry‑leading pest management services and products to residential customers, while maintaining a client‑focused approach to grow the business. The role involves assessing customer needs, proposing solutions, and ensuring high‑quality service delivery to protect customers’ homes and families.
Responsibilities- Visually inspect homes for pests, harborage, and pest entry points.
- Based on assessment, sell pest control solutions and preventative maintenance for residential customers.
- Collaborate with the Customer Service Center, Inside Sales department, and Technicians to create new opportunities.
- Partner with the Branch Manager to identify revenue streams with the current base and service specialist engagement.
- Develop proposals to resolve existing pest issues and propose additional enhancements to household services.
- Complete home diagrams using the Sales CRM to ensure clear understanding of customer premises and challenges.
- Follow up on past proposals to close sales opportunities.
- Provide expert knowledge for new service installations to ensure satisfactory job completion.
- Complete daily activities and maintain sales performance data in the company sales CRM.
Physical demands include lifting up to 20 lbs., moving around frequently, climbing stairs, ladders, and poles, and maintaining balance on narrow or slippery surfaces. The role may involve working in confined spaces, handling different pest species, operating a motor vehicle, and wearing PPE as required.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license from current state of residence (company vehicle and gas card provided).
- Strong social, customer service, and communication skills; experience or training in sales is highly valued.
- Prefer at least 1–2 years of pest technician or sales experience.
- Willingness to travel up to 100% of time within assigned territory.
