The Role
As a Territory Manager at Halter, you will play a critical role in driving new business growth and ensuring customer success within your designated territory. You will execute sales strategies, build strong customer relationships, and meet ambitious growth targets while acting as Halter’s on‑the‑ground representative. The role requires a proactive, hands‑on approach focused on expansion and long‑term customer satisfaction.
What Your Day Could Look Like- Prospecting new business through local cattle auctions, livestock associations, and outbound lead generation.
- In‑field sales: meeting customers on ranch, side‑by‑side, housing trips, coffee chats, and delivering value of Halter.
- Expanding existing opportunities by identifying upsell/ cross‑sell possibilities.
- Meeting sales targets, managing pipelines, and prioritizing high‑potential leads.
- Customer account management: maintaining relationships post‑sale, ensuring satisfaction, and providing support.
- Territory ownership: covering all corners of the region, meeting stakeholders, and building relationships with agencies.
- Customer onboarding: leading end‑to‑end onboarding and deployment experience.
- Field learnings & feedback: gathering customer insights to advocate for their needs.
- Collaborating with support teams to resolve issues quickly.
- Attending industry events to generate leads and deepen relationships.
- Contributing to the US sales strategy and improving the sales process.
- Driven attitude and strong communication skills.
- Ranching or cattle experience to connect with customers.
- Sales and customer success expertise with a focus on long‑term relationships.
- Territory management experience, ideally in agriculture or technology.
- Problem‑solving and collaboration ability.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the territory.
- Familiarity with precision agriculture or virtual fencing technologies.
- Background in customer‑facing roles within ag‑tech.
- Experience selling SaaS solutions in a B2B environment.
- Annual USD $750 personal development budget.
