CHS is looking for a Hazmat Driver to join our team in McPherson, KS! This individual will be hauling fuel, diesel, ethanol, propane, and other products. This role will be a mix of local and regional routes, with drivers out overnight in the truck 2-3 nights per week on average. There could be times during busier seasons where this varies. The schedule we are looking to fill is either Sunday‑Thursday or Tuesday‑Saturday, morning start time.

This role is eligible for a $3,000 sign‑on bonus: $1,500 will be paid after 30 days, and an additional $1,500 after 1 year in the role.

• Ensure accurate and on time deliveries to our customers in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, including but not limited to pre‑trip and post‑trip reporting, proper load securement, and hours of service.
• Assist in the warehouse when not delivering product.
• Work extended hours in‑season to meet business demands.
• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
• Assist warehouse staff and perform other duties as needed or assigned.

• Class A CDL with hazmat endorsement
• 2+ years of Class A driving experience
• Must meet minimum age requirement
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English and understand highway traffic signs and signals

• Tanker and Air Brake endorsements
• Must meet DOT and Company requirements
• Ability to work additional hours and occasional Saturdays to meet business demands
• Bulk liquid experience preferred
• Pre‑employment screening is required; selected candidates must pass all applicable screenings, including drug, criminal, motor vehicle, physical requirements, and FMCSA Clearinghouse.

• Ability to lift/carry up to 80 lbs, walk, stand, sit, bend, and kneel.

Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, and minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
