Position: Truck Driver Class B (Weekends Only)

Schedule

  • Saturday and Sunday 6pm-4:30am (Starting at our McCook, IL location)
  • We require a Drivers License Class B with a Airbrake Endorsement
  • Pay: $23-$25 hourly paid bi-weekly

We are looking for an energetic driver to handle routes from our facilities across Chicago and the surrounding areas daily.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Have variety with an opportunity to drive all company vehicles for customer routes in and around the metro Chicago area.
  • Be given the trust and respect to be responsible for loading, packing, and inventorying deliveries
  • Complete all necessary paperwork regarding the deliveries made.
  • Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, and brakes to ensure that vehicles are in proper working conditions
  • Load and unload trucks, vans, or automobiles for a maximum of 50 lbs
  • Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
  • Read maps and follow written and verbal geographic directions.
  • Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
  • Maintain records such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements in accordance with regulations.
  • Perform emergency repairs such as changing tires or installing light bulbs, fuses, tire chains, and spark plugs.
  • Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.
  • Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to bases or other vehicles, using telephones or mobile two-way radios.
  • Turn in receipts and money received from deliveries.
