• Hourly Pay: $26.00 per hour
• Certification Bonus of $100 for each New ASE Certification Obtained up to $700
• Quarterly Bonus:
  Ryder Pays you up to $500 Every Quarter - Four Times Per Year

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or Technical Certification or post-secondary degree preferred
• Basic tools required
• Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventative maintenance (oil changes, brake and tire work)
• Two (2) years or more of related training/experience preferred
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
• Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire
• Pass Ryder Drug Test, DOT physical, Ryder road test, and background/motor vehicle check

Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or customer-specific requirements.

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance and component inspections and repairs
• Performs preventive maintenance
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools when applicable
• Identifies root cause of failures and performs repairs as required
• Replaces defective components as instructed
• Performs facility maintenance duties
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine the nature of the complaint
• Uses Shop Management System and electronic documentation
• Adheres to safety, DOT, MOT and corporate compliance guidelines
• Performs other support duties as required
