Positions

• Hourly Pay: $36.00 per hour
• Certification Bonus of $100 for each new ASE Certification obtained up to $700
• Quarterly Bonus:
  Ryder pays you up to $500 every quarter
• Schedule:
  
  Monday–Friday, weekends off
• Hours:
  
  First Shift 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

• SBTIII trained within 180 days (SBT
  220)
• Complete all OEM online diagnostic scan tool software courses as required by location fleet mix (completed within 365 days)
• Complete instructor-led OEM courses as required to support location fleet mix
• Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties including standard and preventive maintenance
• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic problems with minimal support
• Access and use internal and external maintenance documents
• Assist with remote triage for roadside breakdowns with RCRC and customers
• Interact with customers/drivers to determine nature of the complaint
• Instruct and advise other technicians on maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics
• Coach/mentor other technicians and inform shop management on shop repairs
• Use Shop Management System and electronic documentation
• Adhere to safety, DOT, MOT and all applicable compliance guidelines
• Other support duties as required

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or technical certification; post-secondary degree or technical certifications preferred
• Basic tools required
• Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
• Routine preventative maintenance including oil changes, brake and tire work
• Diagnostics and repairs including AC and electrical systems
• Advanced skilled repairs including major engine repairs, diesel aftertreatment or automotive fuel injection repairs
• Four or more years of relevant work experience preferred
• Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred
• Other location-specific certifications as required

• Ability to perform all T3 tasks and demonstrate advanced analytical and repair skills
• Effective interpersonal communication skills
• Basic computer skills (PC, Windows)
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Shift work, weekends, and on-call duties as required
• ASE Certification in PM, Brakes, A/C, electrical, electronics or ASE Master Mechanic preferred
• Operate shop computers and diagnostic equipment proficiently
• Have minimum required tools and be able to road test vehicles as necessary
• Ability to coach/mentor others
• Must drive Ryder vehicles; ability to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire, pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, Ryder road test, and background check
