Class A CDL Yard Jockey

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

* Start time 4AM

* Transports trailer, full or empty, to or from, receiving or shipping, as directed by the supervisor.

* Completes trailer movement log to submit to supervisors.

* Completes daily yard reports and inventory on tablet.

* Complete pre trip on all trailers used on shipping dock.

* Meets and maintains safety standards.

* Occasional local deliveries as needed.

* Maintain proper housekeeping standards in work area.

KNOWLEDGE AND

SKILLS:

* Basic math and reading skills.

* communication skills.

* Basic organizational skills.

EXPERIENCE AND

EDUCATION:

* Valid state Commerciall Drivers License (Class A CDL) required.

* Preferably a minimum of one year verified exp0erience operating a tractor trailer.

* Must be 21 years of age

WORKING CONDITONS:

* Lifting of up to 75 pounds.

* Continuous walking, standing, and sitting; walking long distances.

* Exposure to hot and cold conditions.

* exposure to dust and noise.

* Bending, stooping, squatting, and kneeling on a repetitious basis.
