Position: Extracurricular Assignment

Location:Hurricane High School
Qualifications:The successful candidate must be a regularly employed professional educator at the school where services will be provided. Candidate must be willing to receive certification through The Boomerang Project (at county expense).
Responsibilities:In addition to abiding by established laws, policies, rules, and regulations, the High School Link Crew Coordinator shall have the following extra-duty responsibilities:
- Implement and facilitate all aspects of the Link Crew program.
- Plan and implement new student orientation.
- Create, organize, and implement Link Crew leader application and selection processes.
- Work collaboratively with parents, teachers, and school administration to select a student leadership team.
- Develop communication channels between the school and student leaders/parents.
- Conduct follow up trainings and lessons for the student leadership team.
- Monitor communications between student mentors and mentees.
- Arrange for meeting times, advisory lessons, and social activities for mentors/mentees.
- Attend and assist students in the planning of extra-curricular activities related to the mentoring program such as socials, fundraisers, and team events as needed.
- Set-up and coordinate an alert/response/intervention program to assist struggling 9th grade students.
Salary Range: 1 Point
Minimum Participation: 40 Hours
Effective Employment Date: 2026-27 School Year
