Geotechnical Engineer - Project Manager

Qualifications

• 5+ years of geotechnical experience, preferably in a consulting environment
• B.S. in Civil Engineering or related (M.S. a plus)
• Engineer-In-Training (EI/EIT) required
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) license in WV preferred
• Strong technical writing and communication skills

• Manage and execute geotechnical subsurface investigations
• Coordinate and monitor field drilling and sampling operations
• Prepare boring logs and develop laboratory testing programs
• Analyze lab data and perform geotechnical design calculations
• Prepare technical reports and foundation recommendations
• Provide design input for building foundations, cut‑and‑fill slopes, retaining walls, landslide remediation, and roadway rehabilitation
• Oversee construction materials testing services, including earthwork, concrete, foundations, masonry, and pavement testing
• Supervise and mentor technical staff and field personnel
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies
