Overview
As a Geotechnical Engineering Project Manager at Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in our Charleston, West Virginia office , you’ll deliver geotechnical solutions that shape communities and support critical development across a wide range of project sectors including real estate, oil & gas, and public infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and execute geotechnical subsurface investigations
- Coordinate and monitor field drilling and sampling operations
- Prepare boring logs and develop laboratory testing programs
- Analyze lab data and perform geotechnical design calculations
- Prepare technical reports and foundation recommendations
- Provide design input for:
Building foundations, Cut and fill slopes, Retaining walls, Landslide remediation, Roadway rehabilitation - Oversee construction materials testing services, including:
Earthwork, Concrete, Foundations, Masonry, Pavement testing - Supervise and mentor technical staff and field personnel
- Communicate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies

- 5+ years of geotechnical experience, preferably in a consulting environment
- B.S. in Civil Engineering or related (M.S. a plus)
- Engineer-In-Training (EI/EIT) required
- Professional Engineering (P.E.) license in WV preferred
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
