Customer Service Delivery Driver

Job Description

This position works closely with wholesale and retail customers to determine their needs, answer questions about Sherwin‑Williams products, and recommend the right solutions. The candidate will also be responsible for delivering products safely and timely from Sherwin‑Williams stores using company vans or pick‑up trucks.

Job duties involve contact with customers, which may include minors; access to cash, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise and other items of value. The Company requires a criminal history review for safety and protection of customers, staff, vendors, contractors, and the general public.

Location:

Store #1907, 3784 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane, WV 25526. May also work at stores within a 25‑mile radius.

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
• Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services.
• Process sales transactions accurately and in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Follow and achieve sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
• Maintain precise work order files and formulas.
• Pull appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse.
• Tint and mix products, as needed, to customer specifications.
• Load, transport, and deliver items to customers safely and timely.
• Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
• Maintain the store vehicle and alert the supervisor to repair and servicing needs.
• Adhere to assigned routes and follow time schedules.
• Comply with all laws, traffic regulations, and safety procedures when driving a vehicle.
• Prepare reports and other documents relating to deliveries.
• Operate equipment and machines such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.

• At least 21 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the country without requiring visa sponsorship.
• Valid, unrestricted Driver’s License.
• Able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. occasionally.
• Willing to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• If internal to Sherwin‑Williams, must have received at least a “meets expectations” (3) rating on the most recent performance appraisal.
• If internal to Sherwin‑Williams, must have completed all required HR Cloud eLearning courses for the current position.

• High School diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service.
• Previous experience selling paint and paint‑related products.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language.
• Proficiency in Spanish.
