- Work in a 5-bed Emergency Room with 2 additional endoscopy beds in a short‑term acute care hospital
- Diagnostic capabilities include electrocardiography, respiratory monitoring, nuclear medicine, radiology, suturing, and splint application
- 12‑hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with every other weekend required
- Float as needed within scope to other areas of the hospital
- Orientation starts every other week on Thursday
- Blocked schedules may be accommodated, to be discussed during interview
- Uses Cerner EMR, Omnicell, and Accudose systems
- Clinicians may provide care for patients requiring advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Team provides 24/7 emergency services to a diverse patient population
- Free parking is available for travelers
- Candidates must receive a flu vaccine during the facility’s flu season (October 1 to March 31), unless they can provide documented allergy from a physician
- Candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility, with 75‑99 mile radius considered for approval
- Former permanent employees must wait 2 years from their last day worked to be eligible for travel positions
- Active WV RN license or compact RN license required to start; pending license accepted for consideration
- Minimum of 2 years RN experience and 1 year in Emergency Department required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Certifications:
BLS and ACLS required;
Fit Test and CPI required (CPI can be completed on‑site); TNCC preferred - Skills required include continuous IV and procedural sedation, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, triage, and care for ventilated patients
