Structural Concrete Finishing Specialist

Role Overview Picture your day starting before the first truck arrives. You verify forms are set to pitch and depth, confirm rebar placement, and prep tools. As concrete hits the forms, you screed true, trowel to a smooth finish, edge clean lines, and broom where specified. You keep the site tight, safe, and moving—whether youre finishing flatwork, shaping curbs and gutters, or completing saw cuts to spec.

What Youll Do Level fresh concrete using wood and aluminum screeds.

Finish with hand and power tools: floats, trowels, edgers, and brooms.

Set and align forms for sidewalks, curbs/gutters, walls, pillars, and similar structures.

Clean and strip forms properly after finishing.

Assess and control slump; calculate needs and place orders accordingly.

Reinforce with rebar or wire mesh and install expansion joints.

Perform saw cutting on concrete and asphalt.

Handle physically demanding tasks including shoveling, raking, and heavy lifting.

Contribute to heavy highway and other construction operations as needed.

Maintain a clean, secure job site and eliminate hazards daily.

Follow safety policies and use appropriate tools/equipment for each task.

Wear required PPE at all times.

Operate trucks or other moving equipment as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned.

What Youll Bring At least 2 years of construction experience.

At least 3 years of hands-on concrete work.

Solid knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines.

Proven commitment to safety and ability to follow OSHA standards.

Team mindset; willing to assist coworkers and supervisors.

Active, valid drivers license with a driving record acceptable to the company.

Ability to take direction and follow oral and written instructions from supervisors and managers.

Work Environment This role is fast-paced and hands-on. Youll work outdoors in varying conditions, keep projects on schedule, and ensure quality finishes that meet spec.
