Financial Center Consultant I (Teller)
Looking for a Teller Position? Join EECU at our Hurst location.
As a Teller, you’ll be the friendly face that welcomes members, assists with transactions, and connects them with the right products and solutions to support their financial goals.
Responsibilities- Deliver great member experiences in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment.
- Provide a complete service and sales experience for members, exceeding sales goals on a monthly basis.
- Perform a broad variety of member service functions such as teller functions, deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and solve operational issues.
- Proactively initiate and support marketing initiatives within the branch.
- Build exceptional rapport with members and provide excellence in service.
- Cover the lobby, greeting members, answering calls, and directing members to appropriate employees when needed.
- Clear background check including employment, criminal, and drug screen. Credit history will be evaluated per applicable law, and only applicants with good credit will be considered.
- Attend initial and ongoing annual Bank Secrecy Act training and maintain compliance with all Federal and State rules and regulations.
- One to two years minimum experience in a retail or financial environment that requires excellence in service and building rapport with members/customers.
- Daily cash handling with ability to balance without overages or shortages.
- Strong communication skills for free, comfortable conversation with members.
- Enthusiasm, professionalism, high ownership and accountability.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks daily.
- Good listening skills, approachable, problem‑solving, and empathetic.
- Relevant computer skills, solid math, and written communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bilingual preferred – ability to read, write, and speak Spanish.
- Availability: 7:30 am – 6:15 pm Monday – Friday, 8:45 am – 1:15 pm Saturday.
