Job Description
Member is a young male living at home with parents and needs a dependable caregiver who is patient, calm, and consistent. Support is focused on daily structure, supervision, and hands‑on help with routine tasks as needed. Caregiver should be comfortable providing redirection, encouragement, and step‑by‑step guidance to help the member stay on track with daily activities. Ideal caregiver has strong communication skills, can maintain a steady routine, and can work respectfully within a family home.
Experience with behavioral support, developmental needs, or youth/young adult care is a plus.
Home environment notes: Non‑smoker home preferred (member is not a smoker). Pets are present in the home, so caregiver must be comfortable around animals.

Required Duties (Texas STAR+PLUS Caregiver Support)- Personal Care / ADLs (as needed): Assistance with grooming, hygiene, dressing, and basic self‑care routines with step‑by‑step prompting and supervision.
- Meal Support: Simple meal preparation, snacks, cleanup after meals, and encouraging healthy routines.
- Light Housekeeping: Tidying common areas used during shift, wiping surfaces, taking out trash, light laundry support, and maintaining a safe, organized environment.
- Routine & Safety Supervision: Provide structure, reminders, and redirection as needed; monitor for safety and help maintain a calm, supportive environment.
- Companionship & Engagement: Positive interaction, supportive conversation, and encouraging appropriate activities aligned with the member’s routine and preferences.
- Medication Support: Medication reminders only (no medication names listed).
- Pets in Home: Must be comfortable working in a home with pets.
