Work hours

Full Time (40 Hour) Day Shift

  • Shift depends on clinic needs
  • Monday through Friday from 7:30A-4:30P or 8A-5P
  • Some clinics close early on Friday (7:30A-12:30P)
Sign-on bonus

For eligible CMA Floats (eligible upon hire with a signed retention agreement)

Will float between Hurst & Bedford locations

Clinic Highlights
  • Must be able to cover front desk and clinical

Here’s What You Need
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (REQUIRE)
  • 1 year Medical Assistant experience within the last three years (REQUIRED)
  • CMA
    - Certified Medical Assistant upon hire (REQUIRED)
  • Recent phlebotomy experience is (STRONGLY PREFERRED)
  • EPIC knowledge (PREFERRED)
  • Successful completion of THPG Clinical Training (CT) educational program with demonstrated competency in required skills - within 90 days of job entry (REQUIRED)
  • BCLS
    - Basic Cardiac Life Support Exception Quarterly 90 days upon hire (REQUIRED)
  • ACLS
    - Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire (PREFERRED)
Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to perform EKGs, draw blood, and administer injections as needed by assigned clinic
  • Ability to effectively communicate to staff and patients
  • Demonstrated knowledge of examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures
  • Thorough knowledge of the meaning and use of medical terminology and abbreviations
  • Demonstrated sound judgment and composure with the ability to take appropriate action in questionable or emergency situations
What You Will Do
  • Performs general patient care by following established standards and procedures.
  • Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider.
  • Obtains and records vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, drug allergies, and current medications and presenting problem.
  • Administers ordered medications and/or vaccines via oral, injection, topical, rectal, ophthalmic, and/or inhalant administration.
  • May work in the front office as needed, as well as perform other duties as assigned by practice manager, more senior staff, or as requested by healthcare provider(s).
