- Hurst is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our supportive, patient-focused team. This is a hands‑on clinical role ideal for technicians who enjoy working collaboratively, delivering excellent patient care, and being part of a positive, team‑oriented hospital environment.

What You’ll Do

As a Veterinary Technician, you’ll play an important role in daily patient care by:

  • Assisting veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures
  • Supporting anesthesia, surgical assisting, and post‑operative care
  • Preparing patients and surgical instruments for procedures
  • Monitoring anesthetic patients (ASA I‑III)
  • Collecting laboratory samples and performing in‑house diagnostics
  • Operating digital radiography and advanced diagnostic equipment
  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Accurately documenting patient histories and medical records
  • Maintaining clean, organized, and sterile treatment, exam, and lab areas
  • Using safe restraint techniques to ensure patient and team safety
  • Working collaboratively with technicians, assistants, and doctors to support smooth patient flow
Preferred Experience & Skills
  • Minimum 2 years of veterinary technician experience
  • CVT/LVT/RVT credentials encouraged
  • Experience with anesthesia monitoring and surgical assisting
  • Strong attention to detail and clinical observation skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Comfort working in a fast‑paced, high‑quality general practice
